Aditi Pathak
Aditi Pathak is a senior economist at AIR. She specializes in research and evaluation of policies and programs targeted towards vulnerable populations including older adults and individuals with disabilities. Dr. Pathak has contributed to research on long-term services and supports, racial disparities in healthcare and vocational rehabilitation, Medicare and Medicaid policies, and employment initiatives for individuals with disabilities. She has extensive experience in research design, healthcare claims analysis, health economics and advanced econometric techniques.
Dr. Pathak currently serves as the project director on the Understanding and Responding to Disparities and Inequities in Medicaid Home- and Community-based Services (HCBS) project. The project focuses on measuring racial and geographic disparities in Medicaid HCBS and collaborating with diverse stakeholders and policymakers to develop strategies for improving HCBS equity.
She also serves as a technical lead on the Longitudinal Analysis of Medical and Long-Term Services and Supports Use in the National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS) project. As a part of her role, she leads the evaluation design and analysis of NHATS data linked with Medicare and Medicaid claims and Medicare advantage encounter data to examine the impact of growth of Medicare and Medicaid managed care enrolment on acute and long-term care utilization among elderly Medicare beneficiaries.
Dr. Pathak's other recent work includes quantitative impact analysis of Career Pathways programs in Kentucky and Virginia aimed at helping individuals with disabilities gain and retain meaningful employment.
