Adria Molotsky

Adria Molotsky, a senior economist at AIR, has extensive experience evaluating a variety of projects in developing country settings. At AIR, Dr. Molotsky is the project director for several large-scale evaluations on a range of topics including education, health and nutrition, gender, and agriculture.

Her current work evaluates programs aimed at improving maternal and child health through the reintroduction of neglected crops in rural Tanzania, improving children’s educational outcomes by providing school and health and nutrition programming in Sri Lanka, increasing children’s school readiness through pre-primary programming in Bangladesh and Timor-Leste, assessing socio-economic and environmental characteristics of organic cotton farmers in India, and improving children’s reading outcomes through improved phonics lessons in the UK.

Within these projects, Dr. Molotsky has honed her skills for developing household surveys to assess children’s early childhood development as well as observational checklists to assess the quality of institutions, training enumerators on successful survey implementation including collecting accurate anthropometric measurements, rigorously analyzing both primary and secondary data to assess program effectiveness, and writing effective evaluation reports to inform evidence-based policy decisions.
