ECR Hub: Advancing the Long-Term Potential of Fundamental Research

This five-year resource center is a partnership with the National Science Foundation to extend the reach of its existing investments and build career opportunities related to fundamental STEM education research. The STEM Education Core Research (ECR) Hub will support NSF’s ECR program, which funds curiosity-driven and use-inspired fundamental STEM education research.
Clearinghouse for Labor Evaluation and Research (CLEAR) Advancement, Reviews, Innovations and Syntheses of Evidence (ARISE)
Clearinghouse for Labor Evaluation and Research's (CLEAR) mission is to make research on labor topics more accessible to practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and the public more broadly so that it can inform their decisions about labor policies and programs.
AIR will help the CLEAR contractor, ICF, update their evidence review standards and procedures to the highest quality standard possible.
Scoping Review on Women's Groups in Uganda

REL Southwest: Oklahoma Evidence-Based Blended Learning Programs and Instructional Practices Training and Evidence Review
Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Southwest conducted an evidence review to identify blended learning interventions that are effective in improving student academic achievement and engagement in Oklahoma.
Traumatic Brain Injury Education for Adult Patients and Families: A Scoping Review
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is increasingly viewed as a chronic condition, bringing long-term needs for patient and caregiver knowledge pertaining to symptom and problem management over time. AIR conducted a scoping review of the literature on brain injury education provided to adult patients and/or family members affected by TBI. The goals of the project were to describe the types of educational interventions that have been developed; to review the effects of these interventions; and to determine gaps that might be filled by future research efforts.
Heinemanns Leveled Literacy Program Mock WWC Review
Population: Elementary (Grades 1-5)
Topics: Education; Alternative Review Types
AIR staff who are certified What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) reviewers performed preliminary reviews of several literacy programs, including the Heinemann Leveled Literacy Program, prior to the publishers’ submission of the programs for the formal review. Using the WWC standards for review, the AIR reviewers read published journal articles and prepared reports predicting how the product would be rated when subjected to the U.S. Department of Education review process.
