Amy Young
Amy Young is a principal TA consultant at AIR with over 15 years of experience in public policy, program management, and technical assistance in the workforce development field. Prior to joining AIR, she was a program manager at Maher & Maher, where she brought her skills and experience designing complex technical assistance initiatives and managing large-scale projects to lead successful teams that achieve results. In this role, she provided leadership, strategic direction, and workforce development expertise for projects with organizations at the federal and state levels. She also led Maher’s national apprenticeship projects, working with the U.S. Department of Labor and other organizations to expand apprenticeship programs as a talent development solution.
Prior to joining Maher & Maher, Young worked for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration for 12 years focusing on the workforce development system. Her roles included program manager for workforce development programs focused on targeted worker populations, policy advisor to the Assistant Secretary of the Employment and Training Administration, and team lead for the agency’s policy and legislative activities.
