Anne Diffenderffer

Anne Diffenderffer is a senior survey research specialist for Survey and Data Sciences at AIR. In this role, she provides survey operations expertise in all aspects of the survey data collection: planning, execution, quality control and reporting. She also provides technical assistance and support to schools and school districts that are implementing surveys. Diffenderffer currently serves as project manager for the Conditions for Learning Survey administered in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and leads survey data collection efforts for an evaluation of the ESEA Title I, Part D, Neglected or Delinquent Programs and a study of the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant program.

Diffenderffer has more than 10 years of experience in survey research, data analysis, and project management and is PMP certified. Prior to joining AIR, she worked for five years as a senior project coordinator at the University of Illinois at Chicago Survey Research Laboratory where she managed a large, complex face-to-face community health survey in addition to many other telephone and Web surveys on a variety of topics including public housing, child welfare, and transportation. She also spent three years at Chicago Public Schools (CPS) where she developed a survey designed to monitor students’ transition into high school; presented survey data to school-, area-, and district-level staff that was used to provide needed interventions; and monitored key performance indicators for AVID, Gear Up, and other programs designed to keep students on track to graduate.
