Burhan Ogut
Burhan Ogut is a principal researcher at AIR, where he conducts research, evaluation, and impact studies in education with a focus on applied statistical and econometric methods.
He has designed and led several research studies contracted by the National Center on Education Statistics (NCES) to examine operational and validity issues in National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) such as exploring potential grade level college readiness benchmarks on NAEP, examining student engagement in NAEP, establishing a statistical link between Early Childhood Longitudinal Survey and NAEP and examining achievement gaps.
Dr. Ogut provides analytical expertise to a wide range of research projects in education ranging from studies in early childhood education, students with disabilities, NAEP, adult education and workforce, teacher value added models, and impact studies in developing countries.
