Center for Implementing Technology in Education (CITEd)
The Center for Implementing Technology in Education (CITEd) helped leadership at state and local education agencies integrate educational and assistive technology for all students to achieve high educational standards. CITEd provided this support through identification of best practices, innovative online technical assistance tools, professional development, and communities of practice.
CITEd was funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs and was a cooperative effort of AIR, the Center for Applied Special Technology, and the Education Development Center. Between October 2004 and October 2009, the CITEd website provided technical assistance and offered a wealth of free online resources in the following categories:
- The Learn Center provided access to vetted resources organized by role, responsibility and topic area.
- The Action Center featured professional development resources to help chart a path to technology implementation success.
- The Research Center offered evidence-based, promising, and emerging practices based on the latest research.
