Garry Davis

Senior TA Consultant

Garry Davis is a senior technical assistance consultant at AIR. He has over five years experience in program administration, research, and technical assistance with a particular focus on college and career readiness. In his current position with the Texas Comprehensive Center, he works to build the capacity of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to develop, implement, and sustain various education initiatives, policies, and programs, with a focus on college and career readiness and success.

Davis supports the Concerns Based Adoption Model work as a trainer, Levels of Use interviewer, and program and project manager. CBAM is a set of research based tools that help organizations and individuals, understand, facilitate, and manage the implementation of initiatives. Other areas of focus and interest include career and technical education, expanded learning opportunities, higher education, workforce development, adult learning, and policy, research, and practice alignment.

Davis’ previous work includes being a research associate on the Student Futures Project, with the Ray Marshall Center, where he implemented, analyzed, and reported findings on a senior exit survey across 12 Central Texas school districts. He was also a National Teaching Fellow for Citizen Schools, where he instructed 6th grade students in math and ELA, and managed an apprenticeship program.
