Guido Cataife
Guido Cataife is a vice president and the program area lead for the Evaluation, Methods, and Analytics program area within the Health Division at AIR. He oversees a portfolio of approximately 20 projects with a focus on health economics. This includes the operations of health care payment and delivery models, as well as mixed-method evaluations. Dr. Cataife’s responsibilities also include overseeing all aspects of business development, staff development, and eminence-building for the program area.
Dr. Cataife has extensive expertise in a broad set of topics pertinent to the transformation of the U.S. health care system. This includes alternative payment models, health care claims data, advanced quantitative methods, Medicare and Medicaid policies, and mixed-methods evaluation design. Among other high-profile projects, he has directed the large-scale evaluation of the Medicare Appeals Demonstration and the operations subcontract for the Kidney Care Choices Model, both for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Dr. Cataife has multiple collaborations and peer-reviewed publications.
