Jason Lee

Jason Lee is a senior researcher at AIR, where he leads and contributes to evaluations of postsecondary programs and policies. He has experience using large administrative datasets and quasi-experimental research designs to execute such evaluations. Currently, he is the project director of a statewide evaluation of Texas House Bill 3, the principal investigator of a work-based learning dual enrollment intervention in Tennessee, and the lead quantitative analyst of multiple higher education finance projects in California and Texas.

Prior to AIR, Dr. Lee worked as a Senior Policy Analyst for the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO) in Boulder, Colorado, as well as a quantitative researcher for the Tennessee Board of Regents and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. During his time in Nashville, Dr. Lee led initiatives to link up data systems from K-12, postsecondary, and the workforce to rigorously evaluate the impacts of various state programs on college access and success.

Dr. Lee has published results from his work in a number of outlets, including peer-reviewed journals such as The Journal of Human Resources, Educational Evaluation & Policy Analysis, and The Journal of Higher Education.
