Kathleen Cashen

Kathleen (Katy) Cashen is a senior TA consultant in the Human Services Program at AIR. Her primary responsibilities include review of all content submitted to the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training (ETA) technical assistance website, WorkforceGPS.org. She drafts monthly newsletter and bi-monthly homepage announcements and provides subject matter expertise in the development of webinars, podcasts, and products related to various communities. She provides subject matter and unique technical knowledge specifically in the compilation of content with a focus on innovative approaches and best practices.

Cashen has worked over 30 years in the publicly funded workforce system at both the state and national levels and has a deep knowledge and expertise in workforce public policy and the legislative processes at the national and state levels. In 2011, Cashen was elected to the Town Council for the Town of Claverack for a four-year term. She was re-elected to the position in 2015 and again in 2019.
