Katie Rich

Katie Rich is a senior researcher at AIR. She leads and supports a variety of projects related to mathematics and computer science education. She is currently serving as a coaching and technical assistance lead for the Engagement and Achievement through Computational Thinking (ENACT) partnership within the Regional Educational Laboratory Midwest, where she supports sixth grade mathematics teachers in Wisconsin to integrate computational thinking and student-focused practices into their instruction. She also serves as the principal investigator for National Science Foundation funded Researcher-Practitioner Partnership with the state of Idaho focused on developing K-5 computer science pathways for students throughout the state.

Prior to joining AIR, Dr. Rich work at the University of Chicago, where she served as a curriculum developer for a mathematics curriculum used across the nation. At the University of Chicago, she also worked on several federally funded projects focused on integrating elementary mathematics and computer science.
