Mahi Megra

Senior Survey Methodologist

Mahi Megra is a senior survey methodologist at AIR. She has expertise in large scale survey study design, questionnaire design, data collection protocols, quantitative data analysis, and methodological report writing.

Megra leads AIR’s support of the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics’ National Training, Education, and Workforce Survey. In this role she oversees work related to the development and data collection of data on work-related credentials and the skilled technical workforce. She is also the project director for a project that provides support to the Institutes of Museums and Library Services in tasks related to statistical and survey support. She previously served as the data collection coordinator for the randomized control trials of various agencies developing case management database specifications and managing communication campaigns with hundreds of sample members. She recently successfully completed a grant she obtained from the National Science Foundation to understand how Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) achieve success in graduating Black students who earn doctorates in science and engineering. In this role, she oversaw the administration of surveys, focus groups and interviews at more than 30 HBCUs.

She has co-authored research published in the Journal of Survey Statistics and Methodology and the Journal of Negro Education and presented at national research conferences held by the American Association of Public Opinion Research and the American Education Research Association.
