Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) DataConnect
While the quality and completeness of Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) data have improved over time, many datasets do not meet expected standards. The DataConnect project seeks to improve and make better use of existing Medicaid and CHIP data by supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) with the design, development, operations and maintenance of Medicaid and CHIP data and data analytics.
As a subcontractor to Bixal Solutions, Inc., on the DataConnect project, AIR works with a team of Medicaid data experts who employ rigorous quantitative methodologies to analyze a wide range of Medicaid/CHIP data and provide deeper insights about the functioning and efficiency of both Medicaid and CHIP. DataConnect provides design and implementation of digital services for internal and external stakeholders, websites, systems, tools, components and applications following industry best practices. The goal is to increase the number of users who are directly and regularly accessing and contributing to the Medicaid/CHIP body of data.
