Saida Mamedova

Saida Mamedova is a senior psychometrician/statistician with experience in complex survey and assessment data analysis, survey questionnaire and sampling design, technical writing, and disclosure risk analysis. Since joining AIR in 2009, she has supported a number of administrative, longitudinal, and household surveys in analyst and survey design capacities. Her experience with the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) surveys includes Schools and Staffing Survey (SASS), Education Longitudinal Study (ELS), National Household Education Survey (NHES), National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), and Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC). Besides being a project director for the PISA Young Adult Follow-up Study, Mamedova currently leads research activities and secondary analysis of PIAAC, as well as reporting products reviews and pre- and post- data release dissemination activities for PIAAC and NAEP.

Prior to joining AIR, Mamedova managed databases of macroeconomic and financial indicators and performed selected topical and country-level analyses at the International Monetary Fund and worked on global education statistics in various capacities at the World Bank. Ms. Mamedova has a master’s degree in Quantitative Survey Methods from Columbia University and a background in Mathematical Statistics and Management Information Systems.
